Adrian Peterson, born in Palestine Texas, started out in his life having nothing and becoming one of the greatest all time running backs in the national football league {NFL}. Peterson grew up running, he loved to run, his grandfather called him 'aa' which meant 'all day', because he would be gone running all day. When Peterson graduated from high school he was signed to go to college and play the sport of football for the state of Oklahoma University, {OU}. In his sophomore year at ou Peterson became the first string running back.

Peterson has 2,146 rushing yards which still today is the most NFL rushing yards in the history of the NFL. Peterson is also the 10th greatest running back according to NFL football polls. Peterson also has a great amount of receiving yards. His receiving yards are a total of 1,534.
In 2010 Peterson punished his child by spanking him with a switch. The school that his son went to called the police because a type of unreasonable punishment or, child abuse.peterson found that it was a perfectly reasonable punishment and said that his parents did that to him all the time when he was young. the Vikings suspended Peterson for the season without pay because they did not want the public attention pointed towards them in a bad way.
