Through this we took part in several projects consisting of recording our digital technology usage throughout a 24 hour period, refraining from technology for 24 hours, and also a research paper which posed a question regarding our technology and how we are using it. We used the popular TV show Black Mirror to reference from, as it expresses what could happen if we become too addicted to certain technologies. Technology, although beneficial, can prove to harm us if we use it too much. Technology serves us with entertainment, information, and services, but if we rely on it too much we can become seemingly lost of our humanity. This is essentially our goal of the course, as we studied several different aspects. Through our research, I found that I typically rely on my technology for 2 main things, school and entertainment. I found myself spending around 6 hours per day using my devices in total, including my cell phone, xbox, and television. This didn't surprise me as I honestly expected to be on my devices more often. It should be noted that I conducted this research on a day in which I had to attend my internship, rendering myself tech–less for a portion of the day. If it were a normal day, I could likely expect myself on my technology a much larger portion, and this should be considered in the future. As technology grows to be more prevalent, we should grow more wary of it. We haven't experienced a change so massive in our lives, as technology plays a role in nearly every aspect of our lives currently. Imagine life in 10 years, or even in 20 years when you read this. Times will change, technology evolves rapidly, and we need to be careful of how we embrace and implement these new devices into our lives. We also frequently referenced the show Black Mirror. The dream hypothesis, which Descartes came up with through his first meditation, is based on the idea that there is no way to tell whether one is living in reality or in a dream at any given moment. The atmospheric parameters, including, aerosols, clouds, and precipitation, play very important role in our Earth's climate system. The climate feedbacks influencing the global climate variability are directly or indirectly affected by aerosols, clouds, and precipitation, and thus, modulate the Earth's radiation and surface energy balance. Therefore, global observations of aerosols, clouds, and precipitation are crucial not only to better understand the processes involved in the climate system but also to predict the future climate change.



Satellite remote sensing as a tool can be very valuable to acquire such global observations of aerosols, clouds, and precipitation for monitoring Earth's climate system. In particular, some of the regions in the Earth are not easily accessible to obtain in situ data while on those regions; space borne instruments can act as complimentary data sources. Besides, large scale data mapping and monitoring are only feasible with space–based observations.

When confronted by this question I knew I couldn't evade this question from the inner machinations of my own inquisitive mind. I decided I would have to self–reflect and answer this to escape the imprisonment that is the fact of never knowing an end to this puzzle of my own definition of what's to come after, well, me.

As I look back on my earlier elementary school days, when life, for me anyways, was nothing but a sea of juice boxes and Lunchables. Back in the earliest days of my life, I was very active in sports. I loved baseball. I would stay up to date on games and practiced in the backyard every Sunday. The smell of the leather catching mitt, mixed with the odor of the dirt and sweat would suffuse my nose. The feeling of the steel of the bat in my hands and the incineration of my lungs would seem to char them for hours after a spun out and wearisome game would linger on my skin. The sound of a "ting" when the bat hits the ball sending it into what seems in the moment, orbit, and the roaring of the crowd would hover on my ear and send endorphins to my brain. Everything about the senses I had just described to you all had a siren–like affect. I was entranced by the thought of it. After time I was forced to quit because I am a girl. Short, meaningful, and rather entertaining, fables are stories that have been around for years. Fables consist of many literature elements. The most important thing I know about a fable is that they teach a lesson and consist of a moral. Even though they are small in length, they cut to the point and and are useful in bringing life long messages to hold onto. In the tales I realized that the fables are lessons that tend to correspond to humans. In fables, animals are depicted with characteristics that humans have making it easier for the reader to relate to. The Communications Technology course serves as a base to introduce a student to the photography as well as the Communication Technology aspect of the field. Over this semester, I am content with what I have learned are improved upon. When entering the class on this first day, I did not know what I was going to expect. I thought this course was all about photography as it is mainly known as "photography"; but after a brief introduction by Mr. Oseivhi, I learned that there is much more components to it. This course focused on every little basic detail you absolutely need to know before entering the Communication Technology industry. The company project where we were asked to make up a business and develop a business card, letterhead, video and logo made me realized that it isn't easy to work together. You really need to be patient and corporate with others instead of giving up. When my team mates weren't being respectful and doing the work they were assigned, it got me frustrated and infuriated. I preferred working by myself and as a result separated myself from them and worked individually. But once Mr. Oseivhi made us realize that situations like these will mostly likely occur in our future jobs we needed to learn how to adapt to others circumstances and work as a team. There is an old saying, "A picture is worth a thousands word". William C. Williams poem "Red Wheelbarrow" is extremely short consisting of a mere sixteen (16) words. However, he includes some images that the reader can then make mental images of to further enhance the scene (Kirszner & Mandell, 2012). Utilizing images in a poem is not only worth a thousand words, it dramatically helps send the authors message (Kirszner & Mandell, 2012). But, what does the author mean when he uses the phrase, "so much depends"? There are a couple different ways to look at this.
With the images presented, a wheelbarrow and chickens, a farm scene with a large home and a red barn located on a large grass field with some hills. Perhaps some horses inside a corral and cows grazing in the rolling hills. For the reader to create this much more broad and intricate image of a farm was completely dependent on the wheelbarrow and the chickens (Morris, 2011). It was apparent that some of the reasons were feasible as to why children and teens would run away from home. There are many different reasons that play a major role as to why children and teens run away from home. In the documentary we see that one girl is adopted and doesn't know her real parents and feels like as if the parents who adopted her did not care for her. The boy in the documentary stated how his dad would kill him if he returned home and he was selling pot. The parents in the documentary seemed as if they didn't have much say with what the children and teens did. We saw how the young girl smoked as the parent stated "she has grown up quite a bit since she has been on the streets she is 14 going on 21". The parents seem scared of the future pertaining to their children but I did not see much action as if they were attempting to change their children.
