The hip–hop culture began in the streets of New York City during the 1970's and has gone through tremendous changes up until now. Hip–Hop consists of four elements: rap, graffiti, break–dancing, and the disc jockey. In this paper, I intend to fully explain the evolution of rap music, from its infancy to the giant industry it is today.



Hip–Hop emerged in the 1970's upon the arrival of a one Kool DJ Herc. Kool DJ Herc migrated to the United States from Kingston, Jamaica and settled in the West Bronx of New York. Kool DJ Herc was a disc jockey that attempted to incorporate his Jamaica style of disc jockeying, which involved reciting improvised rhymes over reggae records. As rap music spread throughout the urban community of New York, many people began to use it as a form of expression that offered unlimited boundaries. There were no set rules, except to be original and to rhyme to the beat of the music. One could rap about the issues pertaining to his or her life or something as simple as a day at school.



Kool DJ Herc opened the door to the world for many up and comers such as Grandmaster Flash. DJ Grandmaster Flash and his group the Furious Five were hip–hop, greatest innovators, transcending the genres' party music origins to explore the full scope of its lyrical and sonic horizons. Grandmaster Flash, born Joseph Saddler, began spinning records as a team growing up in the Bronx. By age 19, while attending technical school courses in electronics during the day, he was also d–jaying on a local disco circuit. Over time he developed a series of groundbreaking techniques including "cutting" (moving between tracks exactly on beat), "back spinning" (manually turning records to repeat brief snippets of sound), and "phasing" (manipulating turntable speeds). In short Grandmaster Flash created the basic vocabulary, which DJ's continue to follow even today (Brewster and Broughton, 2000).

I ended up teaching fifth period after the semester change. The class is predominantly white, with about a quarter of the class being either Native or Latino. There are about 15 students in the classroom on any given day due to there almost always being one or two students missing per day. The students generally come from middle to lower economic bracket households. There are at least a couple children from military families and there is a strong naval tie with the school in the form of a drill squad. The school is classified as a Jr. High and it is not considered an alternative school. We are transitioning into the Common Core curriculum and are in a sort of hybrid year. I was told the district just took the Common Core standards from Oregon and adapted them a little for Washington, the Shelton district and the schools. In the classroom we do not use textbooks. The only book I have seen us read is To Kill a Mockingbird, I was told it will be the only book we read this year, however we are about to start a short story unit but I do not know where those stories will be coming from or what they will be. Other than that I have seen a lot of packets, and youtube clips. The English teachers plan their lessons together, and try to stay pretty in unison. There are computers in the classroom, a projector and a TV. Many of the student also have easy access to their smart phones, which are actively engaged for class. In his writing, he goes through his personal life and all the hardships that he was confronted with. Abstract:

Silver nanoparticles were biosynthesized via a green route using 10 different plants extracts and formed AgNPs were tested against drug resistant microbes and their biofilms. These nanoparticles were characterized using UV– vis spectroscopy and TEM which confirmed their synthesis, shape and size. FTIR clearly demonstrated the presence of the bio–groups on the surface of AgNPs. XRD confirmed the crystalline structure of AgNPs. TEM images were further analyzed using Image J software which showed that majority of particles were under 100 nm and majorly distributed over 1 to 60 nm size range. Their antimicrobial efficacy was checked against bacteria harboring antibiotic resistance genes like CTX–M–3, CTX–M–15, OXA–1, arm A, SHV–1 and NDM–1 in gram negative bacteria and fluconazole, amphotericin B and itraconazole resistant genes in fungus. Gram positive bacteria and fungi Candida albicans were inhibited at higher MICs values in comparison to Gran negative bacterial strains. The stories were passed down from generation to generation to create the outlandish but captivating mythology that we have in modern society. While there were countless gods and goddesses, students do typically learn the 12 that are called the "Olympian Gods" . This group was led by Zeus, who is perhaps is the most well known Greek god. The next 11 were named as followed, Athena, Apollo, Poseidon, Hermes, Hera, Aphrodite, Demeter, Ares, Artemis, Hades, Hephaistos, and Dionysus. When it comes to her treatment toward Hulga however, Mrs. Hopewell seems to lack a certain sense of sympathy; for example, when she would ask Hulga for help in the fields, she would tell her "If you can't come pleasantly, I don't want you at all". This suggests an obvious intolerance for her negative behavior. The relationship between Hulga and her mother seems to be that of a disobedient child and her intolerant mother. Here 's a suggestion: Why don 't we take a page from Goldilocks and the Three Bears and learn successful editing by processing our images three times to create the "not too hot, not too cold, but ahhh, this is just right" version of our images. For anyone growing up in suburbia, taking Little Red Riding Hood or Hansel & Gretel too literally may not seem relevant; but as an adult, the more images I process, the more the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears rings true.



If Goldilocks used Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, she would process her images at least three times to _ nd the "just–right" version. I can hear her saying, "This image is too _ at, this image is too contrast–y, and this image is just right." Using the Goldilocks image–editing method of processing your images several times will result in more interpretations and discoveries as you explore and wander off the beaten path.

Using the Goldilocks method to create the just–right image requires you to process the image at least twice in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom and then create additional interpretations in Photoshop. I call the first version "natural" and use it to render the scene as I remember it with either Camera Raw or as in this example, Lightroom, with white balance, exposure, and optical enhancements, such as input sharpening and chromatic–aberration removal.

Porter's national diamond analysis model has four main determinants, which are factor conditions, related and supporting industries, demand conditions as well as strategy, structure and rivalry.



Factor Conditions



Factor conditions are those factors that can be utilised by companies inherently found within a nation which might provide competitive advantage such as human resources, material resources, knowledge resources, capital resources and infrastructure. These factor conditions can be built upon by companies to improve their competitiveness.



Factor conditions could be divided into two resources as home grown resources and highly specialised resources. As Michael Porter described, the home grown resources are important and in the case of Tunisia includes the natural resource of a climate well suited to wine growing, plenty of sunshine, fertile soil as well as limited pollution which all aid the industry of grape planting. Political and historical factors through Tunisia's history such as the romans, French occupation which resulted in over 600 caves being created for wine aging and a recent flourish in the Tunisian wine industry after the 1980's has left Tunisia with a number of cooperatives and engineers all with specialist skills in wine production where modern techniques are being used creating innovation, technical progress and competitive advantage.
