American Sniper Character Analysis
A good movie about a person's life, especially one that involves real life wars has to be convincing. That means the actor must be compelling of who the character actually is, in addition to the scenes being true to the actual event, place and time. I also believe the plot of the story is essential as a true drama is one classified as the hero dying or making you feel sad. "American Sniper", a drama and true story about a legendary sniper and navy seal, Kris Kyle accomplishes the heartfelt experience of family, death, commitment and the life of a true soldier. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...I really liked this as it made you realize what being directly in the war zone is like for a soldier. When he has to make the decision to shoot a woman and a child to save American lives. The woman was his first confirmed kill (Turan). He has flashbacks, which immediately got my attention and wanted to see more. Differing from other war movies, like "The Hurt Locker", the war veteran is as reckless solider. Whereas, Cooper does a better job at making Kyle seem like a more welcoming character. There is no question what his intentions are throughout the entire movie. While he struggles with home and deployment, he gives an excellent performance on what it is really like to face decisions where there is a sacrifice either way. His character really shines through and make anyone think about what goes through a person's mind and what they have been through. For me, when he was in the tire shop and the young man approached and recognized him, thanking him for saving his life, his voice, tone and demeanor shifted...stuttering, his voice dropped and at a loss for words, coming across discourteous. What I didn't like was the character Taya Kyle, played by Sienna Miller. I can't imagine the wife would be unsupportive. Didn't really believe her
