Standing on the 55th floor of a high–rise building in midtown Manhattan, the entire public relations firm was looking downtown towards the World Trade Center. Smoke was quickly emanating out of the north tower, creating an expanding ominous cloud. At 8:14AM, another plane, United Airlines flight 175 also took off from Boston. (9/11 Memorial, 3–4 ) At 8:46 AM the hijacked American airlines flight 11 crashed into floors 93–99 of the North tower of the World Trade Center in Manhattan, New York. The impact from the flight killed all the passengers on board, and hundreds inside the building. (CNN, 1) The second flight, flight 175 crashed into floors 75–85 of the World Trade Center South tower shortly after. A third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C a half hour later, killing 59 aboard the plane and 125 military and civilian personnel inside the building.
