Although the competitors in ancient Greek athletics and modern body building are different in many ways, they do have a common mindset when it comes to competition, building strength, and sculpting their bodies with pride as their motivator. Despite this common mindset, there are some differences between modern bodybuilding and ancient Greek athletics such as the level of participation amongst women.
