In order for someone to be an FBI agent they must go through different measures in order to apply. The applicant must be at least twenty–three years old, but younger than thirty–seven at the time of their appointment. The person must be a U.S citizen or citizen of the North Mariana Islands and have a valid, U.S driver's license. He or she must have a four–year college or university recognized by the United States secretary of Education diploma and have at least three years of work experience.

When applying the applicant must qualify to at least one of the programs out of five which include, foreign language proficiency, finance, engineering, accounting, intelligence experience, law enforcement/ investigative experience, physical science
