Disadvantages Of Millenniums
The Millenniums are being defined as the group of individuals that are born between the years of 1982 and 2000 approximately. They are also the generation that is considered "Generation Y." Millenniums are not their parents and grandparents that believed it so very important as an adult to settle down and get married. The previous generation was always about finding a career and settling down for stability. The stability angle is the getting a career and putting down roots by securing a home. The "Y" generation is the generation that has a single parenting and less stability than the generations prior. The "Y" generation has had the ability to live with the "helicopter down" parents that hoover over them and short the ability to grow and learn.
Millenniums are not making purchases of homes because they are still living at home with their parents. The fact that most of the "Y generation" fail to launch out of their parents' home to gain the career and stability could be through the concept of the parents limiting the growth of their children by being the "helicopter parent." The "helicopter parent" hovers over the child to the point that they are not able to make decisions in a form. The anxiousness of the parent leads to the disbelief that these children even as legal adults that they can make routine decisions on their own. The inability to make decisions as a young person stalled their ability to thrive, make decisions and fail to learn a better way to live life.
