The lesson plan lists the vocabulary words and objectives needed to complete the lesson. Because there are insufficient SEI strategies, the instructor uses a graphic organizer such as four corners, which is excellent for ELLs, however it lacks differentiation instruction for the varied levels of student learners in the classroom. The Levels for English Proficiency indicated from beginning to advance but differentiated instruction is not indicated for the levels. Students have been studying the Dragon Fly unit for a few weeks however ELLs at the beginning level will possibly need picture card to fill the graphic organizer in order to label the dragon fly or assist them in writing complete sentences. The instructor provides a student model for the dry–erase board on drawing a dragon fly while other student practice on the dry–erase board drawing the dragon fly.
