Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...As mentioned in the Edmonton Police Service Strategy, the three areas that coincided with the City of Edmonton's development plans are: "the way we live, the way we grow, and the way we move" (2013). All three of these plans were developed to document how Edmonton was going to change. The Way We Live (2017) focused on living in a safe and clean community, andwhere well–being was a large factor in decisions that were made. The Way We Grow (2017) took into consideration how the city was going to grow with more people staying for longer periods of time. It focused on the redevelopment of older areas within Edmonton, which could draw more people into downtown and into less safe communities. Lastly,The Way We Move (2017), withnew modes of transportation and the idea of minimizing one's footprint, more people are using ride–share and public transit. With more people utilizing this, there would need for an increase in traffic safety which is imperative in a growing city. These three plans are unavoidable; however, with the growth of a city, the police force will require more resources to try and keep up with expansion.
