Essay On White Tiger By Aravind Adiga
White Tiger is a novel written by Aravind Adiga. It takes place during an economic revolution in India. The author grew up in India and Australia and later in America. After graduating college he wrote for the New York Times and reported on the stock market and finances. Adiga purposely wrote about people nothing like him, he grew up in the middle class and his father was a doctor. He strived to write about the poor, which he knew little about. I also enjoyed Balram's personal conflict with the idea of murdering his master. He did not want to kill him because he was so innocent and always kind to Balram, but never treated him with the financial respect Balram expected. He wanted to be independent and not have to take orders from anybody else which is why he finally committed the murder and lives comfortably in Bangalore.
This novel taught a lot about what it means to be human. Balram showed that selfishness and jealousness can take over your body and cause you to do
