I Am My Research Hypothesis


I tested my research hypothesis through my one on one interviews and core questions. I used my core questions and people skills to conduct the interviews properly. When speaking with each woman I interviewed, I explained to them that I was asking them questions for a research project. After this, I read the core questions directly from my iPhone that I wanted to ask the women. I made sure that I spoke clearly and annunciated each word I spoke so that I would not have to repeat the questions. After interviewing each woman, I went home and wrote down notes on what each of the women said. I did not want to take notes in front of the women because I wanted them to know that they had my undivided attention. When it comes to my values, I am the type of person who never wants to make someone feel uncomfortable.

Interview Process A The first group I interviewed were women at Greenhouse Church. I attended a Sunday, 9:00am church service two weeks in a row so that I could become more recognizable to those around me. After the service, there were a few women standing outside handing out pamphlets. I decided to interview these women because they seemed involved in their church community. I thought they would be great candidates for answering my core questions. However, they were the most difficult group to interview. I was not entirely familiar with the Greenhouse Church environment, therefore I was not sure how they would react. I spent about 10–12 minutes with each woman I
