I hope you're well, it was great to visit your offices this week and learn about Platts in much greater detail. In order to move forward I just wanted to provide you with a summary of our findings and the subsequent actions which now need to take place.
Just a reminder of the objective we set out to achieve this week:
For Team Gilroy to immerse itself in Platts' business over 2 days, with the purpose of creating the messaging and plans for 3–4 campaigns. To nurture positive perceptions of Platts throughout the market, by growing awareness, understanding and trust amongst key stakeholders, with the ultimate purpose of delivering commercial advantage.
1) What we achieved and the actions needing to be taken moving forward are the following:
Provisionally agreed messages ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...–Using thought leadership materials such as white papers and authored content, to provide customers with in–depth insights into the market. Value – Helping customers understand that even though Platts are the most expensive supplier in the market, they are gaining a lot of valuable materials for their money. – Achieve this through customer testimonials and interviews.
Analytics – To launch and communicate the additional services of analytical information. Letting the customer know that Platts are more than just a data provider, and can act as more of a partnership. – This can be gained through relationship management strategies.
It was agreed that analytics needed to be a standalone campaign. Whereas, 'strengthening and defending the core' could be communicated in several different approached, which is where experience, expertise and values were formed.
It was widely agreed that the aim of communicating the need for transparency in the market, could be achieved within each of these four campaigns, depending on the suitability for each commodity.
