Should America Ban Guns Altogether for Civilians?



There are many events going on at the current moment in America on the subject of guns such as mass shootings, police officers murdering civilians, and people committing suicide. Politicians around America are having serious discussions about banning all guns for civilians in America. Getting rid of guns altogether in America for people would be the worst idea for these three reasons: people have the constitutional right to bare arms, many people will still possess guns even if there is a law passed banning gun possession, and people already own guns legally.



Firstly, in America it every citizen's constitutional right to carry arms. Taking the right to bare arms would be injustice for that simple fact. Our founding fathers illustrated the constitution in such a way that would ensure it not to be one sided. The ... The misuse of guns is in many ways connected to people finding a way to get themselves a weapon. Imagine how hard it would be to get a hold of one when the need for one is dire for drug dealers, or killers. They would definitely find ways to get guns. What about people who are not doing anything illegal at all? They literally need guns to protect themselves from the misusers, the killers, and the hardcore people. For example: people smuggle drugs,sex slaves,and stolen property into this country every day. There are no exceptions for guns. A majority of people who have guns are guilty of owning them illegally. That is a "red flag". "The war on guns" already exists in the streets all over America, especially down south in Miami, New York, and other hard up towns. It is extraneously difficult already for officers to get them off these streets. The police officers would have difficulty defending themselves and other innocent people
