The 100 is a post–apocalyptic science fiction survival TV drama about a group of adolescent including Clarke Griffin, Bellamy Blake Octavia Blake Jasper Jordan Monty Green, Raven Reyes, John Murphy who become the first few from a space habitat called 'the Ark' to come back to earth after 97 years of a nuclear war that wiped out most humanity. The series follows these characters as they come face to face with various challenges in order to survive. Around this time he also starts to become self–deprecating as he refers to himself and anything bad that happens to his as cursed. In season 3 and 4 specifically, Jaspers PTSD and depression became quite evident and clear. Because of Maya's death and seeing mass slaughter jaspers loses all will to live and frequently drinks himself to the point of alcohol poisoning. His action also becomes more impulsive as he self–sacrifices himself, and his sense of humour becomes darker as he regularly jokes about death and how life for him and the others is worthless since they keep having to face death again and again. To him, life is just become survival not something they can enjoy. At the end of season 4 when another nuclear apocalypse starts to form because of the earth's reaction to the nuclear way Jasper decides to stay behind and die. All the events become too much for him to handle and he inevitably dies in the hands of his best friend Monty, from an overdose right before the nuclear
