"The American Dream" is the ideals of freedom and the chance to prosper and succeed. With hard work any man can break through social barriers. When you try you have the opportunity to become anything. The poorest man can become the richest man. There are no boundaries that someone is placed in because of the family they were born into. In countries around the world, what you are when you are born is what you will be your entire life. The rich stay rich, and the poor stay poor without any hope of being somebody of importance.
