We now go into the part of his life where it all started to go downhill. Alex never got over it and he attended the 1780 winter's ball and meet Anglecia and Elizabeth(Eliza) Schuyler and ended up marrying Eliza that very year almost 1 month after they knew each other. When he finished war he and Aaron Burr went back and finished up their studies and practice law and they work next door to each other. Though he didn't plan it. The downfall of their friendship started Washington choose Hamilton over Burr for his right–hand man. A few years after Hamilton's enemy came back, though not knowing he would be his enemy at the time. Who was his enemy you ask? Well, his enemies at the end of his life were James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and Aaron Burr, but right now we are talking about Jefferson due to him and Madison already not being the greatest of terms. Previous to that the constitutional convention was in the making and Alex was there. He being one reason why they took so long in meetings because he had a lot to say and want what he thought was the best for our country and wouldn't let anyone stand in the way of that, not Aaron Burr not even Washington, who kept calling him son repeatedly sometimes because that is what they had a father–son relationship but Alex didn't like it. He and Jefferson got in debates all the time with him being the Secretary of Treasury and Jefferson being the Secretary of State.
