The Dada movement was an art movement that broke away from the traditional norms of art as well as the traditional mediums. Mediums like photomontage, photograms(rayographs), and readymade art pieces were becoming prevalent during this movement. Hannah Höch and Raoul Hausmann were both prominent artists of the movement that individually had success with their photomontage artworks. Höch's piece is a lot more cluttered with images and tries to encompass the whole idea of Dada. her piece is much more political than Hausmann's piece and has feministic theme through out the entirety of her artwork's composition. In the center of her collage she has the head of Käthe Kollwitz, radical antiwar artist, above the dancing ballerina.(2a) Also in the bottom right corner in Dada world Höch has cut out her head and put in top of a map of Europe where several countries are colored in black, representing the countries where women still couldn't vote. Hausmann's ABCD has a much more personal theme that details many of his relationships with fellow artists in Dada as well as his own artworks. Also the general look of ABCD differs from Höch's piece because it looks more fragmented in how the photos and items are assembled.
