Summary: This is a rhyming story of a mouse and a monster. Little mouse goes for a walk in a dangerous forest. The little mouse tries to scare every animal he comes across in the wood and tells them about the Gruffalo which he makes up a story about. In the end of the book he bumps into the Gruffalo because he turns out to be real. The little mouse gets a big fright and they end up being friends.
