Evaluating The Perceptions Selection Officials


More research is needed to examine the perceptions selection officials have in regards to various aspects of assessment method, specifically administration mediums, to examine the generalizability of the findings by Lievens et al. (2005), and investigate whether these relationships are affected by other situational factors such as job level. Therefore, this study would aim to answer the call by Lievens et al. (2005) to examine how selection officials attitudes are impacted by various test administration methods. To test this a sample of Amazon 's Mechanical Turk workers with previous hiring experience will be surveyed about their reactions to a series of vignettes depicting various combinations of test administration method, the construct being measured, and the job being hired for.

Factors Contributing to Choosing an Administration Method A review of the literature reveals many factors that have been found to contribute to an HR manager or selection practitioner 's decision about whether or not to use a particular employment test, and suggests many of these factors may contribute to the choice of which test administration medium to use.
