Anticipation is the principal that enables Army logisticians to foresee future events in a current mission, and implementing the actions necessary to fill the requirements needed according to the Department of the Army (2012) (ADRP, Pg. 1–3). Anticipation allows Army Logisticians to forecast and predict future requirements to support the Commander's guidance and to keep the momentum of the current mission moving forward. This anticipation is determined by our logisticians current knowledge of the mission, their sustainment and logistics education, experience and know how, past experiences and lessons learned throughout their army Careers.
