How Does Cather Admire Antonia
Throughout the whole story Cather seems to admire Antonia. Antonia exhibits a lot of
characteristics that could lead to Cather's admiration.
Antonia spends her whole life fighting, she is a girl who suffers all through her life, and
somehow manages to keep an optimistic outlook. For someone that has been through so much she
always tries to see the good instead of the bad. Cather admires the way she views the world.
Antonia lost her farther due to suicide after moving to America. He left the family leaving them
to take care of themselves without the help of a father figure. At any age the loss of a parent can be
traumatizing but being in the position that Antonia was her way of turning the sadness into strength
would make anyone admire
