How does the story "How Much Land Does A Man Need?" by Tolstoy parallel to Jesus's parables in Luke 12:16–20? Luke 12:16–20 tells the parable of the rich man who spends his earning to grow his profits only thinking of expanding. This parallel is shown when Pahom started to complain about the distance that he had to move his wheat. "If I were to buy some freehold land, and have a homestead on it, it would be a different thing altogether. Then it would all be nice and compact."
