It was October 29, 1983, a young woman by the name Lilith Angeni, entered the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. She walks up to the reception desk having an overwhelming feeling of someone watching. She turns around to check anyone there and as she looks she only sees the janitor cleaning the floors listening to the nearby radio. She continues her way up to the desk to fill out the form provided. She hands it to the man at the desk and the man hands her the room key to room 217.
She makes her way to the room when getting closer to the room she saw how it was so eerie and shady looking. She again shook off the feeling and entered the room. Looking around she looks at the baren room. The wallpaper crumbling off the edges of the wall, the bed sheets old and dusty showing no one has been in this room for weeks maybe months. She groans in frustration, laying her head down on the cool glass table. While being in her own world, she hears a quiet tapping coming from her door, assuming it's the maid she politely tells them that she's good. The tapping continues and she gets up heading towards the door; opening the door she sees no one, looking leaving the room and waking down the hallway looking around seeing nothing. As she heads back into the room, she sees the papers for her new book all spread out on the table.
