Should Guns Be Allowed In America
In the United States, guns are available to everyone. The United States has 88.8 guns per 100 people, or about 270,000,000 guns, which is the highest total and per capita number in the world. In many countries guns are forbidden. But why guns are allow in the United States? On the one hand, America's pervasive gun culture stems in part from its colonial history. Guns were common in the American Colonies. First people use guns for hunting and general self–protection and later as weapons in the American Revolutionary War (1). The gun problems left over by history, people have the right have owns gun. On the other hand, there are some law's provisions can have a gun. Such as, the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to own guns. They argue that gun ownership deters crime rather than causes more crime. On the contrary, guns cause more crime on campus and streets in today's society. There have been a whole slew of shooting incidents. Many people in the United States die in gunfire. This is quite shocking! But still have many people support the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Federal and State gun laws are development. President Obama announced new executive actions on gun control On Jan. 5, 2016 (2). His measures take effect immediately. The measures are including an update and expansion of background checks; increased mental health care funding and so on (2). Would this stop someone from committing a shooting incident?
